At a Glance
Our intensive outpatient trauma treatment program at the Mississauga Clinic is comprised of three phases:
Phase One
Assessment and Stabilization
A comprehensive, interdisciplinary team focuses on diagnostic assessment and the recommended care program including goals and orientation to programming. Stabilization includes education about PTSD, grounding, containment skills and resiliency building.
Phase Two
Integration
Exploring trauma-related themes such as grief, identity, relationships and beliefs while generalizing the stabilization skills.
Phase Three
Transition and Aftercare
Begins with a gradual transition from intensive programming to the start of a full year of weekly group aftercare with tools and support for integration back to work and life.

As with all Homewood Clinics, the Mississauga location provides immediate access to treatment and programs that are customized and geared to individual diagnosis. We provide treatment to those who aren’t able to fully function at work or at home, due to one or more of the following conditions: Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Alcohol or Drug Addiction, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or other Trauma related conditions.
Getting Back to Work, and Back to Life
At The Homewood Clinic, we provide programs that are customized to your unique needs and geared to your unique diagnosis. We build functional capabilities and resiliency, offer transition from inpatient care to a structured program for return to community and work, and offer post-treatment support groups.
Programs that lead to healthy family and work relationships
The Homewood Clinic prepares you for healthy social, family, and work roles and relationships. Highly structured, the program has defined start times, schedules, and client requirements, and attendance is tracked and where necessary, reported. The program is abstinence-based, so you must abstain from alcohol or non-prescribed drug use during treatment.
We offer an immediate start with flexible treatment hours for our three phase treatment program: Assessment, Core or Enhanced Treatment, and 52 weeks of Aftercare.
In addition we offer comprehensive assessments, a multi-disciplinary treatment team, dynamic treatment programming, detailed return to life and work plans, and family and friends support programs.
