Addiction-PTSD Recovery Program

Integrated care for best clinical practice

The close association between addiction and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is well known. Best clinical practice for treating these co-ocurring illnesses is an integrated treatment approach. The Addiction-PTSD Recovery Program offers exactly that.

Expertise in Both Addiction and PTSD

The team that delivers the program includes American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)-certified physicians, psychiatrists and psychotherapists, each with expertise in both addiction and PTSD treatment. The program provides specific approaches for a range of traumas that include: childhood sexual and physical abuse; motor vehicle accidents; occupational traumas (such as policing or military); workplace accidents; and personal assaults.

Meeting your evolving needs

All patients are screened for PTSD symptoms during their first week of treatment. However, individuals do not need to meet full criteria for a PTSD diagnosis in order to participate in the Addiction-PTSD Recovery Program. Admissions occur on a continual basis, with patients being admitted as vacancies become available. Patients who are diagnosed with PTSD after admission can switch seamlessly into the Addiction-PTSD Program with a minimum of disruption. Our flexible length of stay, ranging from 35 days to eight weeks, responds to evolving patient needs.
